Wireless electricity?!?!
I have heard of this news a few years back that scientists are trying to distribute electricity wirelessly. I told myself that if this happens, it would be a great comfort to us all, but imagine, what if those electrical charges pass through human beings? Would they get electrocuted? hehe just a thought. But as for this news, it seems that they have done it. WIRELESS ELECTRICITY my friends! It is called WiTricity, and according to scientists it exploits simple physics and could be adapted to charge other devices such as laptops. If this comes to reality, imagine there would be no power interruptions after typhoons, no more worries for line maintenance, no more dangers from electric poles toppling down. This technology is to watch out for. Here's a complete story for that.

Internet TV
Just this morning, I was looking for a live stream of the Pacquiao-Morales fight, because local stations here airs the fight "live" which is delayed for more than an hour. As I was searching I came across this sopcast. There are channels which you can view live streams. You can try it out, just visit www.sopcast.com, you have to download the client and there you go. You need a fast internet connection though. Again, I would prefer tv because I got a very slow connection from globelines. sigh! again...
Globelines Broadband Slowdown
About a few months ago, i applied for a globelines broadband service, the bandwidth was at 512kbps, the application to installation went smoothly. Then after the first month I had very slow speed and there are times I cannot browse the net. I called up the customer service and said there was network restoration going on. So I patiently waited, and now its done, I still have the same SLOW speed. I can't even browse some sites. I opted for globelines because as I was told, PLDT myDSL was a lot slower than globelines broadband. How can we make the Philippines an IT hub if we have very poor broadband services like these? The fastest connection offered by both ISP's, as far as I know is 2mbps and thats for Business accounts. My brother who is at South Korea is enjoying a friggin' 10mbps!! And he has a friend with a bandwidth of 100mbps and thats for a residential account!!! sigh....

JasperReports and JSP
I have just solved the problem with JSP and JasperReports. The error that gives a "package net.sf.jasperreports.engine does not exist" error can be fixed by putting the jar file jdt-compiler.jar into your WEB-INF/webapp folder. You can download that file in here, and look for jdt-compiler.jar. Put that file in your classpath, restart tomcat, and your good to go.
Jasper Reports
I was working today on Jasper Reports, I have made it work using Java, but now i've transfered the program to jsp and it returns an error that says cannot locate package. I will try to find a fix on that.

PHP, Apache and MySQL
I was trying to configure my web server last night and I found this little problem, when I open up the site using the domain name, I found out that it was asking for a username and a password. I researched in google and found that apache web server asks for this one. It is not my first time to set up a web server but it was my first time to encounter this kind of problem. Is there a way to remove this authentication process? or is it with the php version im using? I was using apache 2.2.x but downgraded to 2.0.x to see if the problem still persists, and trust me, it was still there. I tried removing the authentication line on my configuration file, but to no avail. Will try to post back later tonight if I got that running.
